Is the shop heated? Air conditioned?
Our facility is heated with forced hot air. In the warmer months, we keep the temperature controlled with 4 A/C units.
What is the size of the team I’d be working with?
We have 3 service advisors, one dispatcher, one part-time onsite warranty administrator, one business development consultant, 2 service porters and 4 parts personnel.
What are the shop hours and what are the shift timeframes?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturday 7:30am-4:00p.m. We offer a 5-day work week.
What tools does the shop provide that are available for all technicians to use?
We provide all Toyota diagnostic equipment, laptops, iPads, alignment machine, tire changers, road force tire balancers, lifts, torches, overhead air reels, overhead oil guns, overhead exhaust system and any Toyota designated special tool.
What type of break room facility is provided?
Clean and quiet break room with refrigerator/freezer, microwaves, coffee machine, water dispenser, toaster oven, A/C and tables and chairs to eat at.
How many bays does your shop have?
How many repair orders do you average per month?
Typically around 2400 per month.
What is your parts ordering process?
All parts communication is handled electronically from your own bay, if you are not in your bay then you are not making money.
What is your policy on side work?
Working on your own car is permitted with a repair order after all customer/internal work is completed.
Are there any other unique features of the work environment worth noting?
During warm months there are coolers full of water and gatorade, large community presence, employee discounts, great team/family environment.
Do you offer any skills training or continuing education opportunities?
We offer online Toyota training at no cost and paid training at the Toyota training center.
Can you describe opportunities for career growth at your business?
We prefer to promote from within and always look internally before advertising outside.
Can you describe your performance review process?
Reviews are performed annually.
What type of safety training is required?
KPA safety training required annually on location at no cost to the employees.
Can you describe how Techs work with and mentor younger techs?
Our younger/ less experienced techs shadow one of our experienced technicians until everyone is comfortable. Our Service Manager is working with local Tech school staff to promote hiring upon graduation.
Where do you see the shop in five years?
We will continue to update our equipment and knowledge allowing us to help keep our customers satisfied and our business growing.

We are heavily involved in the community with charities/foundations such as the American Cancer Society, Salvation Army Coats for Kids, Baystate Hospital via Children’s Miracle Network, Shriners Children Hospital in Springfield, Springfield Rescue Mission, Alzheimer’s Association and many more!

We do have an online application and it usually takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

Applicants are screened by the hiring manager and then an in person or phone interview is scheduled.

One on one question and answer with the hiring manager.

Background and MVR are conducted prior to offer and with hire being contingent to outcome.
